About
How I work
I'm a senior software engineer on IBM Z Digital Assets and an entrepreneur in Durham, North Carolina. I put design and creativity first. I like pulling interfaces apart and rebuilding them cleaner, and I don't write code until I know how the product should feel.
“You've got to start with the customer experience and work backwards to the technology.”
That is how I build at Blinkz, the engineering practice I run at night, where founders bring me the products they can't afford to get wrong.
I studied computer science and applied math at Purdue, with a focus on machine learning and algorithms. AI is the part I enjoy most, especially in operations. Once a business has its operations in order, I find where AI can take real work off its plate.

Where I've worked
-
IBM
Senior Software Engineer, IBM Z Digital AssetsNov 2025 – Now I build the backend of IBM Z Digital Asset Offline Signing Orchestrator. Institutions use it to sign crypto and other digital asset transactions with keys that never touch the internet.
- I'm also the go-to person for TKE and HSM initialization: domain setup, master key rotation and verification. My Python automation cut HSM setup time by 70%.
- It runs on LinuxONE and IBM z16 and z17. I replaced its Terraform deployment flow with a Python CLI (Click, Pydantic) that ships each workload as an encrypted contract.
- I made GREP11 highly available: each domain gets its own instance behind an nginx load balancer, all in Terraform.
- I built disaster recovery across air-gapped sites, with LUKS volumes moving over rsync and stunnel and every move approved by a quorum.
Associate Software Engineer, Offline Signing OrchestratorMay 2024 – Nov 2025 I built the core of the orchestrator. It carries each transaction to the offline signer and brings the signature back, as confidential computing that stays encrypted while it runs.
- I designed the certificate authorities that every service registers with to get its certificates.
- I put five public services behind one mTLS gateway before launch, and built the orchestrator's Fireblocks and Ripple integrations.
- I open-sourced the plugin framework partners use to connect their systems to the signer.
- Multi-tenant support took the platform to 40+ tenants and cut hosting costs by 35%.
Software Engineering Intern, Offline Signing OrchestratorMay 2023 – Aug 2023 I prototyped the product's first web interface in React, with strict TLS from end to end.
- I tuned the Python and Nginx backend that moves files between isolated partitions.
-
Sleep Number
Software Engineer, Integration PlatformDec 2023 – May 2024 I moved retail payments from Shift4 to Adyen and wired them into Oracle Siebel CRM.
- I built the Azure Functions behind store voids and gift cards in Node.js and TypeScript.
- I set up log alerts in Terraform and wrote the KQL queries the business team used every day.
-
Purdue University
Research Assistant, Climate ResearchJan 2023 – Apr 2024 I trained LSTM and Transformer models to forecast chaotic climate systems on Purdue's GPU clusters, and the work was published.
- I built a Hadoop environment for R on the clusters, with Slurm scripts for interactive jobs.
-
PepsiCo
MLOps InternJan 2022 – May 2022 I helped design the MLOps platform's network and built CI pipelines into Azure Kubernetes.
- I compared feature stores, including Databricks, Azure ML, H2O.ai and Alteryx, to help the team choose a platform.
-
Fidelity Investments
Software Engineering Intern, Security PricingMay 2021 – Aug 2021 I moved the pricing app to Kubernetes, upgraded it to Angular 13 and added 100+ tests.
- I built a Jenkins job that let the team deploy and test changes before merging.
-
Williams College
Research Assistant and LeadJun 2021 – Oct 2021 I led 7 students building a linear programming scheduler for K-12 teachers.
- The solver combines penalty functions, Gale-Shapley, the Hungarian method and evolutionary search on Google OR-Tools.
-
TechPoint
Software Engineering ExternJul 2021 – Aug 2021 I led a team of 5 building an app that cut wait times at Indianapolis attractions while the city hosted the national championship.
- Visitors reported wait times live, and the app pointed them to shorter lines nearby.
-
Elanco
Data Science InternAug 2020 – Apr 2021 I helped build an app that scores a pet's body condition from a single photo.
- I worked with 20 students across Purdue's Data Mine and Elanco, using OpenCV and a neural network on 500+ images we collected ourselves.

Projects
What I've built
-
Referral Intelligence Platform2026PythonFastAPIPostgreSQLAWS CDKNext.jsAmazon BedrockHIPAA
Pulls a specialty medical practice's four scattered referral sources into one warehouse and tells its field team which doctors to visit each week.
- Four ingestion pipelines match the same doctor across a spreadsheet, call-center reports, a field app and the medical record system.
- Access is checked in three places, Cognito, the API and Postgres row-level security, and every touch of patient data is logged for audit.
Private, HIPAA -
OpMap2026TypeScriptNext.jsNode.jsPostgreSQLClaude APIStripeCloudflare
A founder describes how their business runs in an AI interview, and OpMap turns it into a process workbook, a visual operating map, ranked projects and a weekly task board.
- Eight Claude agents carry the work from the first interview to the weekly plan.
- Stripe subscriptions, with the API on Railway and the app on Cloudflare.
-
Shoots2Drop2025 – 2026React NativeExpoTypeScriptNode.jsPostgreSQLRedisSocket.ioAWS S3
A mobile app where people pin photos to the real place they took them, and others find them on a 3D globe and claim them before they expire.
- When two people race for the same photo, the claim resolves atomically, so only one of them gets it.
- Subscriptions run through RevenueCat on both app stores, with a webhook that is safe to replay.
Private beta -
Creator Video Intelligence Platform2025 – 2026TypeScriptNestJSNext.jsPostgreSQLRedisClaudeGeminiOpenAI
An AI product that shows short-form video creators why their videos perform and drafts new scripts from that analysis.
- I led the engineering team as a contractor.
- Video analysis runs on Redis job queues behind one gateway for Claude, Gemini and OpenAI.
Private -
Auto Splits2024ReactNode.jsPythonSQLiteBrowser automationDesktop app
A desktop trading tool that places one reverse-split order across many brokerage accounts at once, so a trader never logs into each account by hand.
- One order fans out across 67+ accounts at 6 brokerages.
- Logins and execution stay on the user's own machine, never on a server.

Code I've open-sourced
The plugin framework for IBM Z Digital Asset Offline Signing Orchestrator. Custodians use it to connect their systems to the offline signer, and 10+ integrations run on it.
I designed and built it, and I'm its top contributor with 43 commits. A plugin implements two methods and gets mTLS, routing, validation and error handling for free.
A Claude Code plugin that gives AI the real design specs from Material 3, Apple HIG and IBM Carbon, so the interfaces it builds look professional.
I built it from scratch. It has 129 reference files with exact tokens, interaction states, dark mode and accessibility rules.
